Ms. Annie Johnson was born on January 19, 1927 and departed this life on June 19, 2026 at Liberty Commons of Whiteville, completing her journey of 99 years. Pearl was the daughter of the late Thomas Brisson and Annie Hickman Brisson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two daughters Pansy Brown and her husband Earl, Emily Frink and her husband Mark, one brother J.F. Brisson, two sisters Barbara Brisson Lennon, Earlene Brisson Chance, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren, two great great great grandchildren, as well as many relatives and friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jennings Johnson, one son Billy Johnson. siblings Mildred Batton, Evelyn Johnson, L.T. Brisson, Mamie Fores, Benny Brisson and Patsy Brisson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Bladenboro. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow the service in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
