Ms. Betty Jo Abbott was born on June 19, 1933 to the late Jody Bennett and Grace Hester in Bladen County, and passed away on June 17, 2026 at her home, completing her journey of 92 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories one daughter Gloria "GiGi" Davis, two grandchildren. CiJi Williams. Dustin Davis and his wife Tamara, three greatgrandchildren Miles Davis, Van Williams, Ellie Davis, one brother Gerald Bennett and his wife Joann, many nieces and nephews, a special friend Desi "Cook" Williams as well as many relatives and friends.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Bennett and her sister-in-law Hazel Bennett.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Amedisys Hospice.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, June 22, 2026 in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro.
