Obituary

Connie Sue Wiggins, 73, of Clarkton, NC, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now whole and at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior on the very day she celebrated her birthday in Heaven.

Born May 13, 1953, Connie was a woman of unwavering faith, deep love, and quiet strength. She was the beloved wife of Curry Wiggins of the home, and together they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, faith, and companionship. Wherever you saw one, you saw the other. They loved spending time together, especially fishing, and built a life centered around family and the Lord.

She was a devoted mother to her five children:. Jill Smith of Elizabethtown,. Jenelle Singletary (Robert) of Bladenboro,, Jamie Wiggins of Clarkton,, Donette Bullard of Bladenboro, and, Crystal White (Randy) of Stanfield. .Connie was a proud and loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by a brother Michael Baxley of Bladenboro.

She also leaves behind her special friend, Amaryllis Soles, along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, N.J. Baxley and Myrtle Lee Baxley; her brother Henry Lee Baxley; and her son-in-law, Danny Smith.

A long-time and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, Connie loved her Lord and Savior with everything she had. She faithfully served her church in several different capacities throughout the years and was willing to help wherever she was needed. Even during seasons of sickness and hardship, including times with a walker or wheelchair, her faith never wavered. She continued serving the Lord faithfully until the very end. Her Savior was her strength, her comfort, and her everything.

Her family was her world, and to know her was truly a blessing. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, loving heart, and the way she made everyone feel loved and welcomed.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Bladenboro Funeral and Cremation Service on Tuesday May 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at Grace Baptist Church:17061 NC-131 Hwy, Bladenboro, NC on Wednesday May 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Burial services will follow at Butters Cemetery.

Connie’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
