Mr. David Eugene "Gene" Nance of Bladenboro was born on January 4, 1956 and went home to be with his Lord and savior on December 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Gene was 69 years young. He was the son of the late Paul and Winnie Nance.

Gene was a man who found joy in life’s simple things.. He cherished family, and the joy of good music, and found peace in fishing. His love for cruising around town was well-known among his friends and family.

Gene's family was at the heart of his existence. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Nance, along with her mother Yvonne Christian and his sister, Paula Nance. Their lives were enriched by his warmth, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. A delightful companion, his grand dog, Dozer, also brought joy to his days, sharing in the affection that surrounded Gene.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James "Jimmy" Nance.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2025 from the hours of 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel.
