David Charles Shaw, a passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 57 in Whiteville, North Carolina. Born on November 14, 1967, in Trenton, New Jersey, David was known for his loving and caring nature, coupled with a spirited humor that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from the hours of 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel. The family will be receiving friends at all other times at the homes of Dorothy, Kim, and Tammy.
David's life was characterized by his passion for various pastimes, particularly racing, fishing, and hunting. These activities brought him immense joy and served as cherished opportunities to connect with family and friends. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he often shared laughter and joy during these moments spent in nature and on the racetrack.
David is survived by his devoted mother, Dorothy Bendy Shaw, his son, William Shaw, and his daughter, Brittney Shaw. He is also mourned by his siblings: Thomas Shaw, Kim Pineda (Oscar) and Tammy Inman (Tim) as well as many relatives and friends. Each of them will remember David not only for his lively spirit but also for the love he freely gave, transforming ordinary moments into lasting memories.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles Shaw, and his siblings Charles Robert Shaw and Lisa Shaw Jernigan.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00AM in the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Russell Benson officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Butters Cemetery .
The family would like to thank all of the nurses at Liberty Commons and hospice nurses who helped in David's care.
