Dewey Gerald Sykes, Jr.

Dewey Gerald Sykes, Jr, 58 of Bladenboro passed away on Friday October 31, 2025, at SECU hospice house in Bolivia, NC after his battle with lung cancer.

Born on September 16,1967, only son to the late Dewey Gerald Sykes, Sr and Elois Allen Sykes. Dewey is preceded in death by grandparents Henry Raymond and Lucille Russ Sykes, Leon Earl and Edith Carroll Allen, great-grandparents David Anderson and Pearl Munce Russ, fiancé Carla Hudson, uncle David Raymond Sykes, aunts Brenda Gail Sykes and Imogene "Mickey" Sykes Durden, cousins Cecil Wade Averitt, Donna Barrett Cagle and Michael Allen.

Dewey is survived by his only daughter Tiffany Nicole Sykes and Collin Trey Hudson which he thought of as a stepson. Trey's girlfriend Saraj Ford, daughter Semaj and son Collin Cadence "Chunk" Hudson, his beloved dogs Punkin "Punk", and Sweetpea, cousins Crystal Sykes, David Dwayne Sykes, Pamela Barrett White, Ricky Paul Barrett and Darryl Allen. Many other cousins and friends.

Dewey enjoyed being a truck driver, to his trucker family and friends CB handle "Joker" is signing off until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held on 1:00PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Bladenboro Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Sykes officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service the same day.
