Gary Chris Fell, age 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 10, 2026.

Born on May 17, 1951, Gary made his home in Bladenboro, where he spent the majority of his life. He was a devoted husband, by father, and grandfather who found joy in the simple things and in the people he loved most.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jean Willoughby, and brother Willie Fell. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Fell; his children, Gary Wayne Fell, Wendy (Mike) Lawton, and Christopher Terry Fell; his cherished grandchildren, Tanner Pait, Harley Ludlum, Peyton Fell (Tyler Dingess), Ashtyn Fell (Tristan Walters), Brooklynne Fell, and Garrison Fell; as well as his dad Homer Willoughby, his sister April Willoughby, and sister Julie Ballweg and brother in-law Jim Ballweg.

Gary had a creative spirit and a love for painting, often expressing himself through his work. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially riding his lawnmower—something that brought him peace and familiarity over the years. He was known for his sense of humor and loved to joke, bringing laughter to those around him and lightening even the simplest moments. He also had a deep love for music and could often be found dancing in his kitchen with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his love of music, and his unwavering dedication to his family, as well as the life he built surrounded by those who meant the most to him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from the hours of 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 3:00PM at Center Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
