Jane Tucker Hedgpeth, of Lumberton NC, daughter of the late Mary Jane Tucker and William Carey Hedgpeth, MD, passed away on June 29, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton NC. Jane was a beautician and her hobby was fishing and had a deep love of animals.

Jane is survived by her daughters Deborah Stone Lennon (Craig), grandsons Carey Thomas (Aubrey), Matthew (fiance Maddie),and Joshua: Susan Hedgpeth Braddy (Danny): son Horace Stone (Sandra), grandsons Jaden, Skylan: sister Drina Hedgpeth and brother Carey Hedgpeth (Gayle) and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM at Bladenboro Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, July 2, 2026 with Pastor Warren Hill officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
