Mary Elizabeth Wilkins Guyton of Bladenboro, NC was born on December 24, 1942 and passed away on January 9, 2026 at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville. Mary was 83 years young. 

Mary's warmth and nurturing spirit were evident through her passion for cooking. Whether it was a holiday feast or simple family gatherings, her kitchen often served as a hub of laughter, stories, and cherished memories. Her greatest joy stemmed from the time she spent with her family, particularly her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each moment shared with them was a treasure, and she reveled in being an integral part of their lives.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth Britt and Beverly Beck and her husband Jim, as well as her daughter-in-law, Cindy Guyton. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Blake Britt, David Guyton, Daniel Guyton, Rachel Beck, and Olivia Beck. Additionally, she is the proud grandmother of great-grandchildren Hudson Britt, Haisley Britt, Levi Guyton, Hailey Guyton, Elijah Guyton, Nathan Guyton, and Emerson Hardy.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bueford Conway Guyton; her son, Bradford Thomas Guyton; and her parents, Jeff Wilkins and Ozo Carroll Wilkins along with 12 brothers and sisters. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2026 from the hours of 4:00PM until 6:00PM in the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Bueford Guyton with a private family service in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mary Elizabeth Guyton will be remembered for her unwavering faith, the love she extended to her family, and her profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit and passion for life will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved.
