Peggy Long Richardson, born on March 8, 1949, passed away on May 24, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She will be remembered for her deep love of the beach and her remarkable green thumb, traits that brought joy and serenity throughout her life.

Peggy was the cherished daughter of Gladys B. Long and Marie Pope, both of whom have preceded her in death. She leaves behind her son, Gary Richardson, who survives her and carries forward her legacy.

Throughout her life, Peggy demonstrated a commitment to nurturing life, whether tending to her garden with expertise or finding solace by the shore. Her dedication and passion were evident to all who knew her.
