Mrs. Sadie Belle Stubbs Norris of Bladenboro was born on February 12, 1946 in Bladen County, and passed away on March 19, 2026 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Sadie was 80 years of age.

Sadie leaves behind her husband, Maultie Norris, Jr., their children: Sonny Earl Norris and his wife Pamela, Shannon Norris Davis and her husband Myron, and Samantha Norris Benson and her husband Ronnie. Her legacy extended to her grandchildren Sam Davis, John Davis, Allison Benson, Joshua Benson, and Mary Davis each of whom carried her love and values into their lives. Sadie was also a dear sister to Louise Kinlaw.

Throughout her life, Sadie exemplified a vibrant and joyful spirit. She cherished the simple pleasures that brought her comfort and happiness. Her love for Pepsi and a dip of snuff reflected her distinctive personality. A true fan of rock and roll music, she found joy in taking drives and cruising around, feeling the rhythms of her favorite tunes, Elvis being her favorite. Trains held a special fascination for her, symbolizing journeys and the passage of time, much like the journey of her life. Her love of animals revealed her compassionate nature, and her faith in the Lord was a guiding light that shaped her character and gave her strength.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Stubbs and Ollie Nance, whose memory lived on in her heart. She was also predeceased by her siblings Frankie Britt, Shirley Britt, Robert Earl Britt, Alford Britt, and Billy Britt, as well as her fur baby Dolly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 24 2026 in the chapel of Bladenboro Funeral service. Dr. Reverend Larry Hayes and Reverend Tony Stevens will officiate the service. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
