Sharon Faye Singletary, a beloved wife, mother and friend passed away on July 19, 2025, at her home. She Born on September 6, 1954, in Maryland, she was a woman whose life was dedicated to the beauty of creativity and the warmth of love.
Sharon thrived in the world of arts and crafts, finding joy in the delicate art of ceramics. Her creations not only reflected her talents but also her caring nature, as she often shared her artistry with others, bringing smiles and inspiration to those around her.
Sharon was a loving and compassionate person, revered by family and friends alike. Her love for God and singing hymns filled her life with joy, throughout her years. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering support.
Sharon leaves behind her devoted husband, Tommy Singletary, and her children: Lonetta Shores, Gary Wayne Shores, and Paul D. Singletary. She is also survived by her stepchild, Thomas J. Singletary, and her cherished granddaughters, Taylor Shores, Hayden Hunt, and Ryleigh Phillips. Each of her family members holds dear memories of her loving presence and the unconditional love she provided.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis Potee Wilkinson and Melvin Wilkinson, as well as her step-daughter Lisa Singletary, and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler N. Shores and Skyler M. Shores. The legacy of Sharon W. Singletary endures through her family's lives, where her spirit of creativity, love, and caring will forever be remembered and cherished.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 2:00PM at the Whiteville Seventh-day Adventist Church: 1102 N Franklin St, Whiteville, NC 28472
