Tammie Rose Hayes, beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on May 26, 1967, Tammie brought joy and warmth to everyone she met, famously embodying the phrase, "she never met a stranger." Her inviting smile and infectious personality made her a friend to many, creating lasting connections throughout her life.
Tammie shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Greg Hayes. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, supporting each other through all of life's challenges. Tammie's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and her son, Ray Hayes, was a source of immense pride and joy throughout her life.
Tammie was also a loving sister to Barbara Hester, with whom she shared countless memories and cherished moments. The bonds they formed will forever remain a testament to their deep familial connection.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Hester and Jessie Lewis Hester, Tammie's spirit and zest for life will always be remembered by her loved ones. Her passion for dance radiated into her everyday life, infusing her surroundings with energy and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and an indelible spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, January 17, 2026 from the hours of 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Bladenboro Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in the Galeed Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Brett Young officiating.
